This is a self promotional project. It was done with a mix of traditional and digital media. You know you're doing something right when this is what a hard days work looks like.
The watercolor work was done with Cotman watercolors. A lot of people I know don't use cotman because of the duller dry-color but I'm a big fan of the aged look that they give you. I also like to work up to the end color some the low pigment load helps in that process. The highlights are done with a mix of gouache and a little bit of drawing with a white ink pen.
