This was a unique project consisting of taking a painting that wasn't doing what I wanted so I turned it sideways and tried to extract a water / river bank / sea shore painting....abstractly of course.  This had an old feel to me - almost prehistoric in a way.  The name suggests a visual capture of the shores of a continent lost in a time. Mysterious in nature.  

 

One can only imagine what these shores actually looked like back in the day.  What creatures lurked these banks and what types of leviathans swam beneath the surface of the murky waters?  I guess that is what I think of when I look at this trying to make out recognizable items.
