One Hundred Years of Solitude - Life Brief
The brief was to design and illustrate a cover for One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. The idea behind my illustration is that the skull represents the seven family generation but at the same time it has the mechanism that helps the watch around his neck work. The watch is symbolizes the 100 years. The bullet that is being hold in his mouth alongside with the military jacket represents the war. I used traditional medium to design the background and the details on the military jacket. The rest of the illustrations we made digitally using Adobe Illustrator.
