As the first truly English pub in Transylvania, Parkhouse had a very complex brief : embody an English pub while doubling as a classy restaurant and a place to watch the game : clearly very clashing ideologies. The architectural solution then was to position the entire pub as a high-end locale and differentiate between the three intended functions through seating layout. Dining is encouraged at the round tables with classic dining chairs, while quick bites + a beer is more likely to take place at either the rectangular tables with modern diner chairs or on the continuous chesterfield sofa. The boundary between fine dining and pub meals is thus blurred, leaving it up to the clients' perceptions. All the while, watching the game can take place in the séparé, a semi-private booth at the back of the establishment.
