When i first read war horse the barbed wire scene was significant to me so i wanted to illustrate this scene the most. This is my first attempt

Second attempt. i chose to change the positioning of Joey as i wanted to show how distressed he is and the panic he went through

In the end i chose this design as my final one. I put inky shapes of trees in the background to give it depth and make the ink surround Joey in the forground to make it look as if he were coming out of smoke.

I wated to illustrate one of the final scenes between alebert and joey. this is my first attempt. it's all slightly out of proportion so needs editting

I finally edited it to give this design. i ened up covering Albert's face as i thought it was pulling focus from the whle image. I made sure the veternary emblem was clear on his uniform as it was key to the story of how much Joey meant to Albert, so much so that he joined the vetenary department on the off chance of finding him. I kept the red running in each illustration, symbolising blood and the red poppy in rembrance of the World wars
