Tilt- Lounge Chair

Tilt is a handmade lounge chair. Our main inspiration was the principle of boxes, which is a widely used technique in modern tree architecture. The chair is made of plywood in birch, and consists of four different parts, which makes the supporting structure. We wanted to keep the plywood as natural as possible, which reinforce the feeling of a lived life. All the angles in the side plates are 90 degrees, so the front plate tilts it to make a comfortable position to sit in. The seating surface is made of leather belts attached to each side plate, and the same for the back. This gives a soft meeting with the body, and contrasts the supporting structure.
