MET - The Return, Tullio Lombardo's Adam

This project was a fantastic opportunity I've had. The Return, by Reid Farrington is an interactive multimedia project that was open to the public at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in the summer of 2015. It was created to commemorate the re-opening of Tulio Lombardo's Adam sculpture, acidentally damaged in 2002 and removed from the gallery.

I was responsible for "re-sculpting" Adam digitally working from the scan data and photographs provided by the team at the MET.

More about the original sculpture (and restauration process)

 and more about the project:

Final real-time model

Comparrison between the provided scan data and the first work-in-progress of the re-sculpting of the head (Z-Brush)

Unreal 4 sub-surface material created to simmulate the look of the real life sculpture
