Rendezvous with Ornamentation: A collection of Embroidered Bedding

The following project was an additional work done at the company as part of the Graduation Project. 

The textile arts include those techniques which are used to embellish or decorate textiles –  to add colour and pattern; embroidery and other types of needlework; and Construction methods such as sewing, knitting, crochet, and tailoring, as well as the tools and techniques employed, pleating and quilting, embroidery etc.

It is also in a way an awareness of recycling and using materials responsibly. 

The waste fabric from the Sarita Handa factory were used significantly to create a piece of art for their retail store. The colours were chosen according to what Sarita Handa as a brand stands for. Colours such as coral, indigo, natural, and whites are the ones which are mostly used by the brand, each was kept in mind while composing the art.

Various embroidery and hand embellishments were done to complete the look.
