The Student Guide 2010

Opportunity
The 438 paged Student Guide 2010 publication was completed alongside the Editor-in-Chief for editorial content, and the sales team for controlling the incoming client advertisements and advertorial artwork. This project was completed within three months following the run-up to the start of the University academic year and first year student Freshers week nationwide.
 
Approach
Incorporating a more restrained look and feel to the guide as opposed to the 2009 edition, while being visually appealing to the young student readership. A styleguide was established to encourage consistency throughout the design process amongst my team of designers.
 
Still remaining distinctive and aesthetically pleasing for the mass young audience, this edition featured more white space for better legibility, with more controlled usage of imagery, colour, typography and
layout treatments.
 
Experience
The Student Guide 2010 was distributed nationwide at numerous University Fresher Fairs, University Student Union offices, and also retailed in selected high-street outlets throughout the UK.
