Stain and Tripartite

STAIN and TRIPARTITE were designed as a part of my college assignment on Glass.

Understanding the nuances of hand glass blowing with the help of the highly skilled artisans from Firozabad,UP which has largest industry of this craft in India, I experimented combinations of glass with different materials and mediums like sand, oil, paint,etc. and designed these Table Top accessories.

These products were designed by me and were made by the artisans from Firozabad.

STAIN

The illusion of a stain acting as a paper weight itself fascinated me a lot. This product was made taking advantage of the mouldability, transparency and weight of a solid glass rod. I tried mixing coffee with the paint to simulate the aromatic essence of coffee in the product.

TRIPARTITE

I was always curious about the making of an hour glass. This curiosity led to the concept of designing a three way hour glass enhancing the magical essence of an hour glass. The product does not act as an actual hour glass but gives a similar experience with a playful twist.
