For this project I was required to produce an editorial piece of work containing diagrammatics and infographics, based on a subject of my own choosing. We were required to produce a minimum of 8 spreads and 2 infographic or diagrammatic pieces each with an article or word count of at least 500 and 750 words respectively.
The subject I chose to go with was Sleep and Dreams, something I have a bit of interest in that would make the project more enjoyable for me. I also felt this would enable me to create some nice accompanying imagery.
It was interesting and challenging to produce a magazine using a piece of software that is new to me, getting to grips with indesign but I feel like I adapted well. I feel like I answered the brief effectively, producing imagery and infographics that were visually communicative and relavent to my chosen subject matter. I also feel like I took a mature approach to the project, taking critical distance at certain points throughout the project to ensure I was happy with my final outcome.

I was especially pleased with how my second version of the first infographic came out as I feel that it communicates how stages and the sleep cycle works in a more comprehensive way than what I could find with pre-existing infographics on the internet. One particular criticism I have of my own project would be that I feel like the dream theme page has a style that sort of stands out from the rest with the stickmen characters. Overall it was an enjoyable and engaging project. I may also produce better quality photographs for portfolio purposes at a later date.
