The concept of this project was inspired by my solo-backpacking trip through Central America. While traveling, I received my PADI Open Water Certification in Utila, Honduras. While living on the island, I was greatly impacted by the poor waste management, inexistent recycling operations, and the lack of consumer awareness and education. 

Save the Surf is a mock swimwear collection designed for Patagonia. I wanted to highlight the dangers waste is causing on our oceanic environment and implement a way to provide a solution to the issue by integrating my major: Fashion, and my passion: Environmentalism.
