BATHROOM FOR PEOPLE WITH
MOTOR DISABILITY
VISUAL IMPARED
HEARING DISABILITY

The bathroom serves a basic human comply within the pyramid of needs Maslow .

Analysis was performed to address three disabilities (blindness, deafness and motor disabilities); considering that the security and independence are the values that should be addressed in the proposal made; which is why we chose three ideas for the project:

1. The formation of desert dunes, are created through the wind in the sandy areas. It was considered that the subtlety of a dune forms, would support the reinterpretation of tactile guides for people with low vision or blindness. Besides this, the rounded shapes of the same dune, generate support fluency and dangerous corners to omit the three disabilities who seek care.

2. The concept of freedom, moved by the flight of birds crossing the sky; so that the eagle is chosen by the characteristics of the same bird, as an independent bird, which denotes strength and easily adapts to any habitat. Taking these characteristics, an analogy was made with the motor disabilities; through a proposal for a large space, looking for the freedom and independence of the user; bars equally subject to the walls are in different positions to help the disabled to grasp strongly supported with their hands. The connotation of strength and safety of the birds, will seek to convey in space, taking into account the safety and freedom of the three disabilities.

3. The fireflies are few bioluminescent insects that talk to each other, through the flashing light on your body. An analogy was made with the form of communication of these insects; so that it can transmit proposed in the fourth bath, thus supporting people with hearing disabilities and the visually impaired. It will search through flashing light and changes in sink, mirror and shower area; keep alert deaf people; to translate changes in water temperature. Similarly, the flashing light, will be outside of health, so that "caretaker" of the disabled, be alert to any risk.
