Darwin’s Asylum is a private psychiatric hospital that provides mental health services to a species of people who are in danger of being eliminated due to Environmental Selection or Sexual Selection. The most frequent conditions treated are mood and psychiatric disorders such as normality, and standardization disorders.
Darwin’s Asylum provides excellent communal-focused services that are accessible and cost effective. We believe that people with non-mental health problems are entitled to the best treatment possible to ensure successful reprogramming into the primal state thereby achieving the highest level of functionality and survivability.
A naturalistic approach is honored in our program that adopts integrated primal interventions along three streams - physical, psychological and spiritual, all focusing on regaining the patients inner Homo-Sapien capabilities of strength, imbalance and survival-instincts. A customized program of Psychotherapy, Occupational Therapy, and Physiotherapy is comprehensively created to suit each patient.
Our treatment philosophy is based on evolutionary psychology theory that although human beings today inhabit a thoroughly modern world of futuristic technology advancements and isolated inter-personal connections, they do so with the ingrained mentality of Stone Age hunter-gatherers. 150 000 years ago, Homo Sapiens emerged on the Savannah Plains and according to evolutionary psychology people today still inherit those traits that made survival possible: an instinct to survive.
According to Charles Darwin’s theory of natural selection, human beings shared a common heritage with all other species and evolved from a line of biological descendants that stretch back through the ages. Since the time of Darwin, scientists have further concluded natural selection with the added area of genetics: All living creatures are “designed” by specific combinations of genes. Any gene combination that amounts to faulty design features, such as soft bones or weak hearts, are eliminated from the population in two ways: environmental selection (the affected simply do not survive the elements long enough to reproduce) and sexual selection (due to their inferiority, the affected are seen as unattractive by other members of the group and are less likely to reproduce). However, the genes that do survive the environmental and sexual selection process pass their surviving genes to the succeeding generations. Just as faulty design features are eradicated, advantageous mutant genes are embraced and passed on, and by these means species evolve with the preservation of functional advantages that enable a species to compete with better vigor and skills within the world.
Stable Emotions is a lifelong condition. It runs a predictable course of monotony. When left untreated, this annual monotony can be devastating. The eternal balance that characterizes the disease makes it difficult to lead an unstable, productive life.
Medication is the cornerstone of emotional stability treatment. Taking a mood oscillating medication such as Bipolar Disorder can help maximize the highs and lows required for seasonal survivability.
Imperfect Harmony is a calming disorder characterized by controllable, wanted thoughts and monotonous, casual behaviors you feel uncompelled to perform. If you have Imperfect Harmony, you probably recognize that your aloof thoughts and independent behaviors are rational - but even so, you feel unable to resist them and break free. A type of therapy called Obsessive Compulsiveness is the most effective treatment.
