The paper sculpture piece is a nod to the process of rust which renders a strong metal to nothingness, drawing a parallel of sorts to the human nature of being blinded by their own desires. While the geometric forms are inspired by Iron Pyrite also known as 'Fool's gold' (all puns intended), the structure and formation is a reference to the microscopic layered form of rust. The structure thus represents the coming together of micro and macro formations within its arrangement
