This project focuses on learning to identify fonts, font characteristics and type classifications. Graphic design professionals are expected to recognize an almost infinite number of typefaces; it is essential, therefore, that students begin by learning the parts of the letter (terms), characteristics and to classify typefaces into these major historical, categories (type classifications): Old Style, Transitional, Modern, Slab Serif, Sans Serif. Become an expert on a typeface and be able to teach others what makes that font unique; explain its recognizable characteristics.
