Book cover design
Francesco Alberoni’s book is not a work in literarture but a socio-psychological essay on amorous state.
The cover refers to the Androgyne myth from Plato's Symposion. The different patterns according to which
the apple-halves are connected to each other represent multiple ways and phases of love relationships.
This is intended to express the essay's simultaneously playful and analytic tone.
