Caesarstone student competition

The Caesarstone student competition for 2015 called for a space to be designed that would encompass relaxation and rejuvenate the soul. It called for a space that would allow people the opportunity to get back to the rawness of nature and become one with nature for a period of time until such relaxation has been achieved. The space was designed around the concept of a fusion of the protea and a water lily. The space would make use of materials such as steel, timber and glass while using Caeserstones Jet Black tops for certain surfaces. The space would accommodate a space for bathing like that of the past bath houses. It would accommodate for sleeping with hammocks available to be used by the occupants of the space as well as a relaxation area and a social area. The walkway above would allow occupants to do yoga elevated above the ground as well as a lookout point for star gazing. The bronze petal like structures would catch and filter rain water which would be used for the bath area. The structure allows for natural airflow and the whistling sound of the wind to flow through the space.
