The premise of this project was to create a dark and hell-like watercolour painting that represents our fears.

    In this work I was trying to show my slight fear of distorted/misshapen things, and going crazy. The man has a distorted face and unusually long arms, and appears to be going insane. He is also alone in a forest which is another fear of mine.

    I think that I wasn't as confident in myself as I should have been, so it did not turn out as well as I had hoped it would. The challenges I faced were using different techniques to achieve a better final result that what I managed to complete. I used the wet on wet technique for the background and the clouds, and the wet on dry technique for the rest of it. I'm proud of the colours I created and used because they came out exactly how I planned them to.
