Graduation Souvenir

Instead of the old plaque medals of the Rajk College I designed a new object which graduates could get when they leave the college. Rajk, where I also belonged once, is not just a simple college. It's a living community where students live, study, debate and have fun together. They form each other all through the university years, which leaves an unforgettable mark in most of them.

So if this object should resemble the college even the least bit, it can't be a cold stone locked in a box. It should be a whole little world which is always fascinating to look at, because always something different happens in it. And even if it remains itself all the time, it lets stories pass through.
What I have designed is a camera obscura. So when we look in it, we see the reality upside down. This is how cameras work, it's just that in this case the picture is documented in the viewer only. If every college student had one, it would be like wearing a common, huge pair of glasses, through which they see the world in the same way.
