In this project I wanted to create something industrial and mechanic. I wanted it to have challenging shapes, yet to be simple enough to complete a detailed version in a decent time span. Also good references and blueprints were essential. So I chose to model the iconic weapon design of Colt 1911.

Part of the process was to understand some of the mechanics involved in it's use. So the parts are modeled not only to look realistic on the outside, but to look also functional on the inside.
