Fine Arts

Visual essay that explores the figure of my own father, deceased two months after my birth and whom I had no information about. The project carries out the construction of a personal mythology around him.

Through introspective exercises and personal reflection as well as through graphic experimentation, it is proposed a work that explores, investigates and studies the figure of the missing father from diverse documents and sources of information. An intimate and personal visual poetry is constructed around the paternal figure using the methodologies and techniques provided by surrealism and outsider art, like collage and automatic writing and drawing.

Trace of pure thought.
Stroke on stroke, I build.

Sometimes it is
more or only one of them,
at other times, others,
and from time to time,
all of them.

I was alone, and
I just wanted to talk.

I ordered the paths
with my hands.

Murmurs, vacuous
jaded judgments.

The last act
of destruction.

Whispers.

Thank you for watching!
