Stella Winery produces wines based on the work of artist Frank Stella. Each type of wine has a label that references a specific period of Stella's work. Collages were created for the two lower tier bottles to reference Stella's "Polish Village Series" and "Moby Dick Series." The high end bottle has been hand-painted to reference Stella's "Black Period" paintings. The tagline is in reference to a quote by Frank Stella where he stated that a picture was "a flat surface with paint on it - nothing more."
