This is Shanghai – a bustling metropolis of 24 million.
With the frenetic pace of urbanization here, soaring skyline is rising at a dramatic speed, every inch in downtown is filled with steel and concrete. These sensations of detachment, isolation and oppression evoked by these endless skyscrapers become tangible in frozen shutters.
This project is an attempt to convey my emotional expression of this city. It portrays the mentality of Shanghai by revealing its solitude within the ocean of concrete.
