Nudity in America is censored in the media as if it were a mortal sin to bare skin while violence goes completely uncensored. America makes violence out to be more natural than our own bodies. This piece is to amplify this idea by censoring the human body with the American flag while demonstrating equality by showing both the male and female bodies and having the censored bars readable from both the left and right side of the piece. Our hands are guns directed towards one another because violence has been desensitized while people have been dehumanized, making it easier for us to hate one another and we are more likely to respond with violence. Just the same as how people will play with guns when they're young and then grow to feel comfortable with a revolver in hand as they get older. Why is this? This is to sever human connection and extinguish all possibility of revolution to abolish the government or more simply, the censorship laws. This is to also desensitize the idea of war. The U.S.A. has multiple militant branches that need to be filled by volunteering citizens. People who have chosen to risk their lives and endanger others to defend our country and fight against other people whom they have never met over issues unclear to most people. This is considered a courageous act while porn being one of the largest industries in the world is considered degrading by filming an act that human beings have been preforming since the beginning of existence, that act being sex.
