Sale is a commentary on the trap of rush and excessive buying. Encouraged by reduced prices, we tend to throw ourselves into sales shopping frenzy. Often our choices are not driven by our genuine needs but by a momentary urge to possess a new object. Such a thoughtless impulse dictated only by what seems to be an attractive price makes us blind to what we are actually buying, be it the object’s purpose, value or condition.
In this series I referred to women’s accessories as common sale objects. However, the issue of unnecessary or careless shopping may, in fact, affect anyone and, sadly, appears to be turning into one of the ills of modern society, with Black Friday serving perhaps as the best example.
