The task given was to express the saying by Frederick Douglass “If there is no struggle, there is no progress” with own definition and perception. But meanwhile, I was inspired by the Second Noble Truth of Buddhism explains that suffering is what happens when we struggle with whatever our life experience rather than accepting and opening to our experience with wise and compassionate response. Therefore I come out with 2 poster designs with different perception between struggle and progress of Buddhism and human.

Concept
Man-" If there is no struggle, there is no progress "
Buddhism- "If there is no struggle, there is progress "
There are 2  perceptions on struggle and progress, at the man side, it is defines as "If there is no struggle, there is no progress," whereas in Buddhism side, it will be perceived as "If there is no struggle, there is progress." According to Second Noble Thruth, struggle is battle and suffering. All these struggles come from human who are unable to accept their life experience and struggle to strive materially. Meanwhile they have actually narrow their world and mindset, in which they have limited gain. But if we can let go all the struggle, the progress will be infinity, that' truly known as progress in life.

This poster is to advise human to let go the stubbornness in struggling to obtain things that are not belong to them. We should appreciate and enjoy what we have which truly known as progress in life.
Working Progress

We always face difficulties in life too, but how we see difficulties decide our progress to be infinite or in finite. If we see difficulties as struggle, we only get limited progress, but if we see difficulties as a progress to success, we will get through and the progress will be infinity. It's all about your choice.
