Focusing around a cluster of islands surrounding a large circular landmass. The ocean is covered in hundreds of gigantic whirlpools, and thousands of smaller ones. The seas are infested with an abundance of fearsome and giant monsters.

I am working on a 3D animated short of this project to submit for a film festival next year, but i am also working on this to develop into a larger medium. so any comments and advice would be greatly appreciated! so if anyone is interested or knows anyone who is interested in this 3D project or it's 2D short alternative please feel free to send them over this way!
The Wandering Coast is an animated adventure set on the open seas that surround a cluster of five large nations. The story focuses on a small group of talented and unique individuals who upon crossing paths have their fates entwined. The Destiny of these individuals runs parallel to the fate of the world.
What starts out as a mission to save someone important to our hero, the young warrior must set out on a treacherous journey to stop an onslaught of destruction already surrounding the five nations. The hero will embark on this adventure to find a place more fabled then any monster and more legendary than any treasure, this mythical place is home to both of those things, The Wandering Coast.

Main Protagonist - Enji
A young and talented swordmen, Enji was appointed as a Prince’s personal armament from a young age and has been trained to serve as a noble warrior of the king. Unfortunately for Enji, he is also a son of the king but due to having been born with purple eyes, (Something seen as a birth defect and impure) Enji is exempt from being heir to the throne and must live his life as nothing more than a living shield for his younger brother.
Enji is a stern and prideful captain of the kings guard, he is highly skillful in hand to hand combat, but is most proficient with a sword, which due to training from a young age is fully masterful with. He has a silent demeanor but will regularly open up to those he is close to, most notably his younger brother. Most people in Enji’s position would be bitter at the reality of having royal bloodline but being nothing more than a bodyguard, but Enji’s feelings for his family surpass any negative feelings he could have, as their safety is of upmost importance to him and it is those feelings that push him to becoming the greatest warrior he can be.

MASUME
A Young and Beautiful girl, Masume is the First and only daughter of the king. The youngest of all her siblings, she is almost identical to her late mother. Masume loves botany and plants and is also a very talented musician. Although she suffers from the same birth defect as Enji being the only daughter of the king she is treated as a princess and is adorned by people all over the seas for her beauty and talents, However Masume is extremely quick to anger, an anger that for the most part is fueled by her unusual addiction to candy.
Masume is small in stature but what she doesn't have in size she makes up for in presence, as she is often loud and brash on occasion. She carries around a woodwind instrument at all times, and it is her treasure as her mother gave it to her before she passed away. Masume usually wears a dress with the shoulders hanging over her arms, while the dress is usually tied around the waist by her satchel that contains a multitude of her favorite different candies and wrappers.
