No âmbito da unidade curricular de Projeto Design Industrial do Mestrado em Design Industrial e de Produto das Faculdades de Belas Artes e Engenharia da Universidade do Porto e em parceria com o Designer Matt Dexter da Universidade de Sheffield Hallam e com a Klaveness, uma marca de calçado, foi-nos proposto o projeto RITA.RED.SHOES, com o qual se pretendia criar calçado direcionado para pessoas com paralisia cerebral. / Within the scope of the Industrial Design Project unit course of the Master in Product and Industrial Design from the Faculties of Fine Arts and Engineering of the University of Porto and in partnership with the Designer Matt Dexter from Sheffield Hallam University and with Klaveness, a brand of footwear, we were proposed the project RITA.RED.SHOES, which was intended to creat footwear directed to people with cerebral palsy.
ADI consiste num sapato de verão, jovem e feminino, com um design atual e cores frescas, colmatando uma das lacunas no mercado do calçado, tendo em conta as necessidades dos utilizadores com paralisia cerebral. Foi concebido para permitir um maior conforto, estabilidade e respiração do pé no seu uso. Tem uma sola tipo plataforma que acompanha as tendências do público feminino e responde a um desejo por parte do público-alvo. / ADI consists in a young and feminine summer shoe with nowadays design and fresh colors filling one of the gaps in the footwear market and takes into account the needs of users with cerebral palsy. It was designed to feel greater comfort, stability and allow foot breathing while using it. It has a platform sole type that follows the tendencies of the female audience and responds to a desire of the target audience.

O utilizador consegue maior autonomia ao calçar e descalçar o sapato, devido ao fecho frontal de fácil manuseio, garantindo grande amplitude para o calçar. Confere a possibilidade da substituição da sola através de pastilhas, permitindo assim uma maior durabilidade do calçado e uma melhor relação preço/durabilidade./ The user gets more autonomy when putting on and off the shoes due to frontal zip with easy handling, ensuring great breadth of while putting on the shoe. It also gives the possibility of replacing the sole with inserts, thus allowing a greater durability of the footwear and a better relation price/durability.
