In the beginning of twentieth century, French art schools invented an educational method to teach students how to draw still life. They let students observe all kind of small plaster-made geometric volumes and try to mimic the perspective and shadows. This method was brought to Russia, China and other Asian countries at the end of twentieth century and sprayed out very quickly through the international exchange.
