A friend challenged me to take Illustrator to new heights. Do something crazy. I decided to try the Gradient Mesh and model it in a raw, wild and intuitive way mainly using the Warp Tool. Letting go of the urge to create something pretty or perfect.

As the mesh became more and more chaotic and complex it started to behave erratic and unpredictable. Colors did not
necessarily occur the same place as the Vector Points they where applied to. And finding and changing a color via direct selection was challenging. Sometimes impossible.

It’s here I find it most exciting to explore and be creative. On the edge of what’s possible. Digital mountaineering in an wild environment. A rough terrain turned into colourful landscapes
