This little one, was a cat in a Shelter. Here in Canada, when people move out in the summer, lots of them abandon their pets. Most of those are cats. Our shelters are full, they have no space anymore, so tons of Cats dies every time because they got left alone.
Last summer, two kitten got left alone in a box in a park. The male freaked out and climbed to a tree. He was stuck there for three days with no food until someone took them. The next day, they were both adopted, the female by a friend of the person who found them, and I adopted the little guy.
Rexxar, that's how we named him, is still terrified of going outside. I can't leave him alone outside or he panics. He's scared of people. It took him weeks before he started to go out of my room and months before he was at ease to walk around the house. The vet told me that my cat would probably never really go out on his own because he was traumatised. But I love him and I promised to take care of him. I wanted to adopt a cat from a shelter for about a year and I finally thought I was ready for it. It was a lot of work to make him comfortable here.
Think about it next time you decide you don't want your pet anymore. Don't just abandon them, someone else can love them if you don't. If you REALLY can't keep them any more minutes. Asks someone else to find a new loving home for them.
They are either going to get killed or they might be scared for life by it.

This is the message I wanted to share today, it is very important for me. I love animals, I have two dogs and now my cat. They are a part of my family and I wish that most people would treat their pets as living beings. Unfortunatly, there are still too many of them that don't.
Reference, picture from a shelter group on Facebook. I can't remember which one exactly. Will add the link then I find it.
