The Art of the Internet
During my Junior year of college the professor, Dylan Menges, taught about the basic structure and layout of a website. He taught us that a website should tell a story, should evoke an emotional connection when the user explores around your website. Then during my Senior year our professor Ryan Clark had us take what we learned from the previous class and translate said knowledge into a four main projects during the semester. The first project was a simple redesign of a site that we visited often. As you can see I am a big Urban Outfitters nut so I naturally I redesigned their site. Next Ryan wanted to see what our blog would look like if we had to design our own blog, the project consisted of a homepage, a post, a picture post, and a link post. After we finished the blog we were told to design a site for a band or musician, and having just recently become a fan of St. Vincent she seemed like the right fit. And finally the class took a vote and we decided that we would redesign the Cedarville University homepage which is just a mess as it is.
