This picture was taken in my yard of a scarecrow we have on a tree. In this photo I used the adjustments panel to change the color of the background. I selected the parts I wanted to be black and white and changed just the selected each sides of the tree/scarecrow and changed those side parts to be black and white.

This picture was captured at the South Natick Falls looking out on to the Charles River. In this photo I used to the highlights and shadows adjustments. This was done to change to remove the shadows on the trees and in the leaves.

This picture was taken at Tilly & Salvy’s in pumpkin patch in Natick. I used a new adjustment layer and the magic wand selection tool, to change the color of the pumpkin. I adjusted the pumpkin’s saturation and and then took the inverse of the selection to change the background color to black and white.

This photo was taken of a tree and flagpole in front of Natick High School. On this photo I changed the image mode of the layer. I chose the mode to be grayscale mode instead of the RGB mode.
This picture was taken of a tree in front of Natick High School. I used the leaf shaped brush tool to add some light, faint colored leaves the image. I adjusted the opacity of the tool so that the leaves created with the brush were only somewhat visible. The faint leaves are shown around the border of the image.
This picture was taken at Tilly & Salvy’s in pumpkin patch in Natick. In this photo I created an action through the actions panel. Then I applied the action to this photo. First I added a color fill of a light pink color, and changed the blending mode to be multiply. Then I adjusted the hue and saturation on a new layer and adjusted the brightness and contrast on a new layer. I also increased the vibrance on a new layer of the photo.

This photo was taken of a tree in front of Natick High School. On this photo I used the history brush tool and the history panel. I originally changed the hue and saturation, contrast and brightness and the exposure of the image.  I did not like the look of the results, so I used the history panel to remove all effects and start a new. Then I increased the saturation by a smaller amount, and increased both the brightness and contrast to display the image how I liked it. Next I created a new layer and changed the color of the layer to be an orange color and multiplied the color throughout the image. I did not like this color overlay so I used the history brush tool to remove the color. Lastly, I created a new layer again and applied a lighter and softer orange color multiplied through the image.
