The main goal is to put a KTM 525 engine in a Aprilia SXV550 Frame. I have started this project by modelling all useful parts in CAD in order to check dimensions and also made some homemade parts
Some tests with the Aprilia exhaust or some headlight plate
Finally, I have designed a homemade exhaust pipes with a Akrapovic muffler
Two bikes were built :
- The first with a KTM 525 SX engine, WP forks from SMR, Talon front hub and braking oversize brake disc with FTE by Beringer front calipers.
- The second with a BETA 450 RR engine (the same than KTM 450 EXC), WP forks frome Husaberg, front hub and oversize brake disc by KTM, FTE by Beringer calipers.Carbon protections for the frame and the swingarm.
Both have homemade exhaust pipes with a Akrapovic muffler
Each bikes weight is 117kg with fuel.
