Regional jewellery I

KARKOnoszę - regional jewellery

Project of regional jewellery of Karkonosze Mountains in Poland, designed

with purpose of popularization this area by using regional minerals and gems.
It is also an attempt of finding a characteristic element of this region, which could

also be interpreted as its identification at the same time.

The name in Polish, except the name of the mountain, literally means
"the  neck-I-wear," which is a kind of a play on words.
The collection is made of silicone with the possibility of modifying the form by the user
– one can decide about the final character of the piece by folding
the shape
and fasten it according to own tastes. It makes each element of the jewellery individual
and accentuates the personality of the one who wears it.

By using round holes with differential sizes and placement, it is possible to put
through them minerals with crystal – bar shape, what creates
a detail binding the form.
By placing the stone in it, there is a variety
of different ways to form
the jewellery just within one model.
By threading the mineral through the chosen holes, the effect of translucent
structure is created, which gives the character of multilayered, seen
thanks
to transparent color of the silicone.

With one basic pattern, you can create
a necklace by overlapping few elements
of the form, what creates a clasp
without an interference of the mineral.
This set of jewellery is part of my Bachelor's Degree Diploma project
designed in University of Arts in Poznań, Poland in 2014.

The other part consists of the set of silver wire jewellery
- you can find it in my other projects.
