Circadia – In 1998 Starbucks partnered with a food service start up, Circadia Flatbread Oven to open Circadia branded cafes serving Starbucks coffee and operate like a full-service coffeehouse. The Circadia in San Francisco was  3,100 square feet, and filled with antique furnishings, red velvet curtains and well-worn couches. My role was to lead the design for the concept coffee cafes in San Francisco and Palo Alto and act as on location furniture buyer. In addition, Circadia had a full breakfast, lunch and dinner menu, a liquor bar, and live music.

belltown seattle  2000 - Following in the footsteps of Circadia, I designed the Belltown and Olive Way stores to have the same coffee house look and feel.

Custom Signage 1994 – this atlanta freestanding building provided the perfect backdrop for a vintage inspired, custom designed sign package for one of the early starbucks drive through locations.

Custom door handle design 1995 - when Starbucks opened its corner location in Seattle’s University Village shopping centre, the design development team worked with local mural artists to create wall artwork and a local metal shop to build the custom designed door handles I designed.

flagship store custom textile 1995 –  this was the beginning of a localized design approach for Starbucks. Additional flagship stores featured a custom design bench seating fabric I designed, made by Deepa Textiles.
custom kiosk design 1995 - this is an early design concept developed for airport kiosks. The design is inspired by the iconic shape of "aroma" which was quite prevalent in many designs and company graphics in the mid 1990's.
