'The Fooscape' is a beautiful blog/catering service by a very close friend of mine, Winola Peris. Infact we went to school together, kindergaten to be precise. I had been following her work for quite sometime and I'm was so proud to see her whip up this amazing blog filled with love, passion and all things yummy. I was a bit too happy when Winola messaged me this one morning, asking me if I'd like to create a logo for her blog.
Winola focuses a lot on baked goods, cupcakes being her favourite. But besides desserts, she does also put together some some good receipes of the savoury kind as well and her blog consists of food reveiws too.
Some of the few things requested from the logo -
That it should appeal to a younger audience.
It should consist of a lot of bright colours.
More priority should be given to baked goods.
I decided to create something clean, sleek and classy. The logo would work on a fun and colourful aspect, but would not interfere or take away importance from the beauty of the food itself. A logo that would not contrast but would work in perfect harmony with all the different types of dishes created.
I therefore decided to give her different sets of colour logos, that she could pick from and that would work well with the image she decided to put up. For example, a green or a yellow would look great next to salads, sandwiches and other breakfast items. Where as deep blues, browns and a blood red would work well with a dessert!
