In this sketchbook piece where I used charcoal and acrylics on cement, I reflected upon the suicide bombing massacre that has recently taken place in Ankara, the capital of Turkey. The bombings took place in a democracy and peace rally and took the lives of over 100 civilians, children included. The government has taken no action to prevent this act of terrorism commited by ISIS, even though they had intellect on it. After the bombings, it took days to wash away the blood off the cement pavement and pieces of organic human parts were found by pedestrians in the following days. I revisited my theme of deep sea creatures, who remain unseen to us unless by death they wash ashore.
