This Photo book is a Collection of Images Shot by the Late Photographer Paul Strand
The purpose of this Book was Illustrate the 85 Years that Strand was Photographing and includes just about everything from Early Architectural Landscape Photos of Young America to a Series of Portraits taken between 1922 & 1959
He also seemed to focus a lot on Rural America capturing the Mood and Expressions people living there may have felt.
I found it interesting how the book combines Photos of America with Photos of France, Egypt and Morocco
This book showcases the many different time periods Paul Strand lived through without showcasing too much of the hardship these times may have felt. More so focusing on the people who were going about their lives and the locations they lived in during these times. I feel like Paul just wanted to photograph many small details of what was around in order to document and normalize the art of Photography as an everyday art form like we know today.

This book only covers a small number of his images but I am sure there are many more out there still to be read and enjoyed in this day and age!
Paul Strand passed away in 1976 but leaves behind Films, Photos and Journals dictating what the times were like when he was still alive.
I was drawn to this book by the compelling portrait that is on the Front Cover of this Book.
So for the Photo of myself I have tried my best to reproduce to look and the emotion captured in that Photo!
It was a little bit difficult for me to capture the intensity and anger that this man apears to be feeling.

Though we do have slightly similar hair I was wishing that I was wearing overalls to truely better reproduce the image!
My Photo taken in 2015 was based off of the Photo "Young Boy" which was Shot in Gondeville, France in 1951
