This project is a development of my interstitial landscapes.

To appeal to non creatives, and highten citizen engagement I needed to create a simple device or tool by which they could explore my methods.  This lead me to almost regress and remove the obvious fiction.

By connecting places on axies via Google Earth (a very familiar tool in life today), by freezing transient online data into a more permanent  form, I created a pair of books allowing the user to slowly and steadily zoom in on opposite sides of the earth simultaneously.
Taking something well known and placing it in a new context allows the user to feel comfortable while encouraging them to think, imagine and contemplate in new ways.

The places I have chosen for the first books are a beef breeding facility in Colorado and a a remote climate change research centre in the Indian Ocean, These places highlight universal similarities and differences, methane gases produced by intensive livestock farming flow into the air in one place in the world have the ability cause change everywhere. We all live under one atmosphere.
