Creative 3D Building Second Life
Landscape Design - Original Design Work by Sandy Fischler
These are pictures of the Second Life Botanical Gardens - a 6 year labor of love for me. All the structures shown are my original design work built in 3D.  The Gardens encompass two full simulators in Second Life - which is approx 4 square miles total compared to real life terrain. All the terraforming and overall composition is my work.
The Lothlorien build was custom commissioned by a Second Life resident who later disappeared before the build was completed. Luckily I took copies of everything and was able to recreate it on one of my simulators. This is intricate prim detail work - about 3000 primitive objects go into the creation of this build.
The landscape for the Lothlorien build is scripted for bioluminescence and lights up at night so that guests wander through a forest of glowing trees and plants. Some of the plants even move with you and the scripted whip-o-will will follow you through the area if you bump into it.
This build is called Rajah, guests to the Gardens can lounge on scripted furniture here on the gazebo overlooking the lotus ponds. There is more seating inside, as well as a chess game next to the fireplace. Out on the back deck, overlooking the ocean, is a hookah surrounded by lush cushions for relaxing. There is also a meditation area next to the lotus ponds.
This build is called The Hanging Gardens and is my imagined version of Babylon. The stonework textures and trim are taken from the actual Ishtar Gate from acient Babylon.
Entry point to the Hanging Gardens. The border design is also taken from the Ishtar Gate of Babylon.
This area is called The Terraces - a set of terraces that lead up the The Rajah. Along the side is a cliff walk. The Terraces feature the scripted fruit trees of Khamon Fate.
