Carrie photographs her family in their everyday lives. she wanted everyone to know how African-American families had to live their lives. She wants people to look at her photos and be able to learn about themselves. This book is a bio of carrie's life and how she became a photographer. I personally liked everything about this book. I found Carrie Mae Weems to be a interesting photographer to learn about. All of her photos are trying to give a message to the viewers and I love that.
