YR Media: Our Work Your Nostalgia

The reason I went with this logo is because the company "YR Media" is a play on words for Your Media. The reason why I emphasized on the "Y" is because the most commonly used word that starts with the letter "y" is "You".

It is important to for a film client to understand that a company is doing this for them and that it is their own events, that is going to be their own media. The Client was looking for a new style logo and he liked the way this looked. it's minimalistic, bold, and pops to the mind.

Why I decided to go minimalistic is because from my years of graphic design work, Less is MORE. You always want an impactful logo that will be remembered.

While I was brainstorming I wanted to move things around. maybe place the R in front.

The Y is in black for his boldness while the r in the background is a slight Gray because it shows a thin minimalistic concept.

Media Production has to conform to the style of the current trend. Minimalistic is a style that is popular and with that being said, a cluttered logo means that you have to take a step back and present only what needs to be presented.

This is the concept design for the envelope. I made this design originally to incorporate the logo. I chose the font Ahellya because i wanted a solid serif font to compliment the san serif design of the logo. I placed the return address to the right of the logo because i felt it flowed better to the body of the envelope. the reason for this is because, the human eye tends to go from left to right that way i made the deisgn to start with the logo ---> Returning adress --> and the delivery address. I also incorporated the underline for the returning address because I felt like it emphasises the company information.

In my original design, there was a gray blocky line at the end of the returning address. I removed the line to open up the returning adress to flow to the delivery address.
Here is the sample image of the business car design. I wanted to do something similar to the envelope so i would be abe to send the businesscard in the envelope as well. Now i kept the logo on the left side similar to where the logo was on the envelope. This time, I decided to make the company information under the bottom of the logo seperated by a line. the reason for this is because I placed the individual contact information to the right of the the logo and on top of the line. I feel as if the individual contact information is more important than the company information because the individual handed a potential client their personal business card and that means that the indivual cares enough for the client to contact them directly.

The reason i left the back blank is because i see the potential for more hand written information on the back. creating a back design restricts written information on there.

That is why i have incorporated a qr code for the client to find more information that will link it to the direct website.
To keep the project in the same design, I kept the logo on the rleft side just like every other part that i have created. Now this letterhead is slightly different because I placed the word media to the right of the logo. The reasoning behind this is because I want to direct the reader's eye to the contact information the the right from the logo to the word media to the contact information before rmoving their eye to the body of the letter. Initially, there was a vertical bar at the end ot the contact information. I removed this because the contact information was close in proximity and it also created a break for the eye between the top and the body of the letter.

I believed that the flow of the letter is a lot better with just the underline.
I wanted to make sure that my letterhead design was practical with text. here is the letterhead with lorum ipsum text to create a feel of what the letter would look like with the letterhead and a body of text.  I feel as if the top letterhead flowed really well for the eyes to the body. Especially with the introduction, "to whom it may concern", I felt that the logo compliments the serif font that I have selected.
Social media is a pwerful tool, but a logo on a social media platform is stronger. This image is of the logo without the word media on it. this specific size is for the twitter priofile image. The reason i decided to go with the just the image logo without the word media is because, anyone who engages with your social media account will see the impactful logo and their eyes will naturally to the large text of the twitter page. and that is where you will have the title YR MEDIA.

Now, I decided to have continuity with my logos on the two social media accounts i have selected. This is a scaled version of the twitter logo to a facebook profile image size. Not the reason i kept the same design is because, when you are establishing your company in the market and want to create a larger following, you don't want to change you profile image so that those who aren't well established with your company, know what your next profile image is relating to the company known as YR MEDIA.
The motto of Our Work, Your Nostalgia needed to be in play when thinking of a profile header. I decided to go with the image of a gentelman taking a picture using his camera. The reason I selected this image is because It is the exact concept that we capture moments that the client can have nostalgia.

I kept this image in grayscale for matching the logo style. And doing some research, many believe that if an image is in black and white, it is more artistic.
Now i have used the same image for the facebook profile header as well. the only thing that is different is that I kept the crop ratio different from the twitter size. the size is a little taller than the twitter image. the reason why i want continuity on my social media is that people can relate and use both social media platform.

Initially, the original header design for both was an enlarged logo with the word media on it. since the logo is already in the profile image, it was not needed in the header as well.
This image is of a sample color ad for magazine style tabloid print. The reason why i chose ths image for this ad is because Film is a classic choice for photography and if anyone else remember 35mm film, they will remember how fn it is to look through them.  I made some subtle changes to the add because the letter was cramping up to the film making a proximity issue. I changed that and I decided to through the logo at the top  and made it more centered between the film and the edge.
Now this ad is for a newspaper black and white print. I decded to keep the filmstrip idea. and place images that would be taken and thrown into the film strip. I have selected these images in respect to the motto used, Our work, your nostalgia.

I decided to do the logo once again the bottom lower third on the left and the motto as well as the coupon text respectively on the lower third to create flow.

Initially the film strip was larger and took up a good chunk of space. I made the image slightly smaller and placed it in more the the third range.
