Editorial Brief - The Economist

First attempt at designing an illustration suitable for the Economist. The idea here is that porn has become so addictive and has taken over the mind so much that everday objects have started to look sexy
This is my second attempt at my first design. I removed the background so it was less cluttered and added the light created from the TV to give the feel that it i night time. This still needs improving, seems too empty.
Third attempt. This one i feel is much better. now the background has more "shape" to it the objects don't seem to be floating around the empty spaces.
Second design. Here i have focussed more on the thoughts that are constantly going through teenagers minds. The illustrations I used in the brain are images that are associated with porn. Then the computer mouse to show how technology/internet is taking over.
This is eessentially the same however i have removed the "cap" from the top of the head
The background seemed a little empty so I have illustarted internet icons into the background to give it texture
this is the final design for the economist. after feedback from my fellow peers and tutor, they advised me to change the man into a teenager and making this clear by putting a school uniform on him and getting rid of his facial hair. i then changed the background colour as my tutor said that maybe the original had too many colours too it. Then finally i added a shadow from the mouse to give the image more depth and to give it the sense that it's been lifted off the page.
