tócala . Xylophone

La colección "Albures" was presented at    Wanted Design, NYC, May 2015.

I sing to her, touch her, and indulge her. She’s ever so pleased, driven mad when her song is played. tócala is a musical instrument that guides the senses towards a lyrical experience, presenting the path to handle it. With delicacy and tenderness, always reaching the last note.

As Mexicans, we distinguish ourselves by the ability of expressing, speaking and thinking in double entendre. It's the way in which language makes us accomplices.

This time, we got crafty. Now we want to talk about the tradition in which we are experts, not that we are bragging, the art of "alburear". Sometimes flirty, sometimes dirty, but always joyful.

Today, La Tlapalería dares to design objects that reinterpret our linguistic culture.

The music is a powerful art expression that women will never refuse.

There are differents techniques to touch a woman; but always have to doing it with love, finesse and respect.

Following the sequence of numbers until the last note, at the end you finally interpreted de popular mexican song "la cucaracha" and conceptually you touch the intimacy of woman which is represented with the last silver pipe.

An acoustic xylophone made of maple, copper and silver. Getting a harmonious contrast between the soft colors of wood and metal gloss.

The aim of this collection was to create products that could encourage people to interact and get fun with them.
