Equinox started as a personal project. Inspired by works of Eyvind Earle, Giorgio de Chirico and Hieronymus Bosch, I gathered numerous symbols, archetypes and allegories into series of pictures/cards. Life and death, hard work, mystery, judgement - these are only few points of interest here. Starting by portraying four seasons as four stages of life: birth, growth, growing old and death, I discovered that these seasons are far more meaningful, there is more to say - I will design more cards soon.
The technique is vector illustration - I like its clear lines and perfect shapes but it is also very demanding.
