Nepal's district of Sindhupalchowk lies 85km North East of Kathmandu, its northern reaches resting on the borderlands of Tibet and the Jugal Himalayan range.
 
Famed for being the route Sir Edmund Hillary and Sherpa Tenzing Norgay took towards their successful summit of Mt Everest in 1953, Sindhupalchowk was severely damaged by Nepal's earthquakes of April and May 2015.
 
In a joint venture, Deepak Bhandari and James Rinaldi, directors of Nepal based 'Himalayan Aid, and Romania's 'We Love Nepal', founded by Ticu Lăcătușu the first Romanian to summit Everest, aim to build and rebuild schools throughout the district of Sindhupalchowk.
