I made this 3D zoetrope, "Strange Loops," with a turntable, a strobe light, and sculpey. I measured a wooden board and cut it into a disc, then marked spaces to match the timing of the strobe light. As the wheel spins, the strobe isolates the sculpted figures as though they were animation frames. When it's turned on, the sculpture appears to come to life.
