Netcracker Insights Blog Template
This project was a redesign of Netcracker's Insights blog post page templates. The goal was to create an updated layout with better use of space, visual hierarchy through typography and layout, and interaction with sharing and targeted links throughout the page.
These wireframes were built based on original sketches, but also utilizing usertesting.com and their access to users. While Netcracker is a niche market, this allowed me to confirm some basic usability needs of the page and the website such as more clear access to sharing as well as driving users to other posts on the website.
I then moved onto high-fidelity mockups for the chosen wireframes. With these I applied Netcracker's branding, while also taking the opportunity to update the type hierarchy of the blog. Originally the website guidelines had a baseline paragraph font size of 14px. I since have updated that to 16px/24px. The brand font, Gibson, tends to run small at 14px, and updating that allowed me to move to an 8:9 scale with the rest of the pages fonts.
The final layouts came together with consensus from stakeholders on:
• What worked best for the content
• What was most easily sharable
• Which layout/elements worked best for driving users further into the website
